Ripe Ideas

Ripe ideas was born out of aspirations to provide a space within The Banana Rodeo to allow for community members to not only share ideas but to facilitate long form discussions as a group on topics such as sustainability, community, and Fill In The Blank. This was part of the goals of the rodeo to expand more into education, exploration and sustainable knowledge sharing in both science and community organization.

Thus "Ripe Ideas" was proposed for a day of talk series. The head of banana science (York) & Niko attempted to fill spots, but alas there was a lot going on, so the only talk that was given was: La Finka: What is it?

Proposition:

With the growth of interest we would like to propose regular meetups & an additional signal group for those that want to continue to ripen with us.

During the meetups we could gather for 1-3 presentations and then discuss. Presentations can be iterative over time seeding additional input and potential research from the community. The result can be shared via a blog, this digital garden, or at next year's banana rodeo etc...
