Pool Maintenance Overview

Goals:

• Chlorine 0.5-1.0 ppm
• No Algae bloom
• Tame algae under plaster
• Swimmable year round

Routine Maintenance Schedule

Tracking done on whiteboard in pool shed

• Brush: Entire Pool weekly with metal brush
• Chemicals: Chlorine Check Weekly (Sundays)
• Backwash: 2-4 weeks (Check Pressure Gauge)
• Fill Water: As needed (Maintain level above tile)

How To - Backwash

1. Make Sure Pump is Off
2. Adjust Valve from default - "Filter" to "Backwash"
   1. 
3. Turn on pump
4. Watch backwash out side of pool shed and wait until water becomes "clearish" 1-2 min
   1. 
5. Turn off pump
6. Adjust valve to "Rinse"
   1. 
7. Turn On Pump
8. Wait 30 seconds for sand filter to settle
9. Turn off pump
10. Adjust valve back to default position "Filter"

How To - Pool Chems

ToDo:: Insert Photos aiding pool chem testing

1. Get Test Kit
2. Rinse smaller test vial
3. Fill with water to line
4. Add 5 drops chemical 1
5. Compare color to determine chlorine levels - Target 1ppm

Seasonal

Spring - Start Of Season

• Designate Pool Boys & Girls
• Reset White Board
• Pool RX
  • Balance chemicals
  • Clean to best of ability
  • Backwash
  • Add Pool RX
  • Mark Date of install in La Finka Calendar.

Summer

• Have fun in the pool

Fall

• 6 months after start Pool RX Add Booster

Winter

• Minimize leaves in the area to reduce pool cleaning
