The canonical chore expectations for La Finka Agorideans. This is the "what we keep up, who does it, how often" doc. Companion system docs (pool chemistry, furnace procedures, etc.) live in Maintenance MOC.
Agorideans Chores
La Finka stays nice because we all show up for it. This doc defines the baseline expectations for every Agoridean. Rotating ownership keeps no single person carrying the house.
Operating Principles
- Leave it nicer than you found it. The golden rule. Wipe the counter, reset the space, put the tool back.
- Pay it forward. If it's a 2-minute task and you notice it, just do it.
- Communicate early. Flag issues at a 1-of-10 annoyance, not a 9.
- Own your rotation. Swap with another Agoridean if you can't cover your day — don't just skip.
- No food on dishes in the sink. Rinse before leaving.
Indoor — Daily / Weekly
Common areas: dining, living, family, hall, kitchen, entry, laundry.

- No food left in dishes or sink
- No wood in dishwasher
- Clean surface stovetop and countertop after use
- If you don't want it eaten, put your name on it

Spring Clean is a group effort. Block a weekend; divide the lists below.
Indoor
- Dust (shelves, tops, corners)
- Wipe wood walls
- Deep mop all floors
- Windows — inside and out
- Cobwebs
- Steam clean bathrooms
- Steam clean stovetop
- Q:: Curtain cleaning — every year or every other?
Garage
- Organize garage
- Organize back shelves
- Mount snowboard rack hangers
- Bike storage
- Organize tools
- Re-assess layout each year
Outdoor
- Clear out water ways (ditch channels before water on May 1)
- Clear out gutters
- Mulch
- Trim junipers
- Remove goat heads, tumbleweeds, invasive species
- Trim trees
- Trim rose bushes
- Rake leaves
- Turn compost
Fall Clean
- Review water system + develop revision plan for next spring
- Replace furnace filters
- Winterize sprinkler system
- Bug spray perimeter (diatomaceous earth)
- Clean leaves out of pool
- Blow back patio
- Restock firewood
Before You Travel
- Walk the house — put your items away
- Clean your dishes
- Empty your produce / personal fridge shelf
- Let the house know your dates
- Cover your chore rotation — swap with another Agoridean
