Purpose
To feed kitchen waste directly to composting worms to turn them into castings that can be spread in the garden providing much needed nutrients and microbes to the soil.
Objectives
Design a vermicompost system at La Finka
- Vermiculture bin design
- process for maintaining worms
- process for harvesting casting,
- Keep the worms happy in extreme heat & cold.
- Document the process
- as worms continue to propagate beyond our capacity, give handfuls of worms to the friends.
