RFP - Jade Lounge Step

Overview

Design and build proposal for the single step up from the main floor into the Jade Lounge dining room. This is a high-visibility detail that should feel finished and special — a natural spot for mosaic, inlay, or sculptural woodwork.

Scope

What's included:

Design proposal for the step face, tread, and/or surround
Material selection (tile, mosaic, stone, wood, metal inlay, or combination)
Fabrication and installation

Constraints:

Step must remain functional and safe (non-slip surface required)
Depth and height of step to remain as-is unless structural improvement is proposed

Design Direction

Mosaic elements welcome
Should feel cohesive with the Jade Lounge palette (greens, natural tones, warmth)
Integrated art is preferred over a purely decorative overlay
