Welcome to La Finka!

We're excited you are here!

This is a living document with the how-tos, facts and guides for La Finka, plus tips for making the most out of your time in lil' old Reno.

🏡 The House

Stephanos and Niko (the Greek brothers) acquired this home in 2020, and during the pandemic many friends bunkered in the nearly empty house and filled it with so much good energy that the spirit of the place was awakened into its next life.

La Finka got its name from a bottle of tequila and silly chats influenced by San Diego friends making music in the basement. To make it a bit more Greek, we switched the C to a K — and it was here to stay.

📜 The Rules of the Road

Everything about how we live together — lease terms, quiet hours, guests, kitchen, waste, travel prep — lives in House Rules & Community Living Guidelines. Required reading; the lease points to it directly.

The upkeep rotations — cleaning, garden, pool, irrigation — live in Agorideans - Chores.

A few pro tips that make everything else easier:

• Sink Zero — leave the sink empty
• Be proactive — if you notice it and it takes two minutes, just do it
• Pay it forward — sometimes we forget things

🥗 Food Share

Q:: Do we want to set this up? Need volunteer to lead it / keep track of funds. There are great economies of scale to sharing food budget but need someone to take the reins.
